«The idea for the Carpaccio, High Water project came at the end of 2019, when I was passionately walking around Venetian churches and palaces, looking at and photographing everything I could see of the great Venetian's heritage. That very night a terrible flood began in Venice... The kind that happens five or six times a year, and to which Venetians do not pay attention at all, but a catastrophic, terrible and destructive disaster... The water in Venice has gone, a fundamentally new construction of a dam has been built, which has already shown its effectiveness in action.
Vittore Carpaccio has won! Because art is the most powerful dam, which will protect all of us, people who look like people...»

The main architectural task was to catch that emotion of the artist and transport the viewer from summer St Petersburg to Venice, to involve him in the game proposed by Anatoly. This is how I came up with the allusion to the bridges that are put up in the streets at the time of flooding, to a friend of the artist recorded the authentic sounds of the city streets.
